Although, not really asked by Jewelmint.com I find myself writing a review on their website. Actually I am a little glad that they didn't ask me because I openly admit that I am not the greatest at writing as my father kindly tells me everyday. Anyway,I first heard of Jewelmint from AprilAthena7 on Youtube on one of her giveaway videos (link bellow) and being my so-curious-it's-not-even-funny self I checked out the website. I signed up caring just a tiny bit that the jewelry couldn't be shipped to me since I lived outside the states (not that I had enough money if it was possible) and took the test. My jaw dropped and I swear drool came running out of my mouth as I saw the jewelry that matched my fashion style. Wow, this site is Good, was the first thing that came into my mind as i looked at all the jewelry laid in front of me. Although some were a bit too vintage for my taste like the Desert Sand Earings, Sanskrit Necklace, Ganesh Earrings (although if my dad was a girl he would definitely buy them and no, he is not gay. You can ask all of the girls he's flirted on if you don't believe me!) Beechwood Necklace, Bali Dream Necklace, Mint Blossom Bracelet and the Bermuda Earrings and the others were a bit too modern like the Bullet Necklace, and the Nicholas Necklace. Rereading my last sentence I would geuss that you would think that that was a lot of accesories and the site wasn't that accurate but the site actually gives a wide range of accesories which is so wide I can erase a few accesories, ignore the accesories above, and still have a lot of accesories left! I absolutely love the Antoinette Necklace, Charleston Earings, Illusion Earings, Soulmate Bangle, Black Keys Bracelet, Crux Cuff, Manhattan Earings, Casati Necklace, Mumbai Bracelet, and the Diamond Leaf Necklace-which all made me scowl for a while, the tiny bit of remorse becoming a bit of remorse, until I reminded myself that even if I had the money and the stuff could be shipped to me I couldn't do anything with any of the earrings since the holes in my earlobes closed and I kept on forgetting to have them peirced again. But if  you do have peirced ears come any closer and I'll throw cheesecake at y-I mean...you can buy these stuff...if you...er..like them. (Cue awkward silence) But then again I know some people who would like that (grins) like...(grin falls) me and...er...me...I seem to know a lot of people don't I?

MissChievous Make-up

On my quest on whose who on Youtube and etc. I came across Beautysplurge's tutorials (which I love by the way)! So I subscribed to her Youtube channel, followed her on Twitter etc. when I saw that she had a friend (Julia MissChievous) on both Youtube and Twitter and so, being my own curious self I watched her tutorials and I got hooked!
Although I have a large list of Youtube subscriptions I just had to subscribe and follow her and besides from all the tutorials on my subscriptions list I liked her nail art most of all (she having the most number of nail tutorials) and her make-up tutorials were so unique I spent the whole afternoon watching her instead of listening to music (a surprising thing for me to do without getting a little bit depressed) and honestly I'm still listening to her now (that's why it's taking me a very long while to finnish this 'cause I can't listen, watch, and blog all at once) just trust me she is good!

Dave Grohl on Glee

Dave Grohl is one of the many people I had no idea existed. I just turned on my computer after eating lunch and bam! he's on my homepage, the article heading Dave Grohl blasts Glee caught my attention and I clicked it and learned that he was the Foo Fighters' frontman and that he hates Glee because the show's creator Ryan Murphy criticized the bands that didn't want they're music played on the show. Kings of Leon and Slash  being the first.
"F**k you Kings of Leon. They're self-centred a*sholes, and they're missing the big picture. They missed that a seven-year-old kid can see someone close to their age singing a Kings of Leon song, which will maybe make them want to join a glee club or pick up a musical instrument." Murphy had reportedly said when they told him he couldn't use 'Use Somebody' on his show making Grohl tell a Hollywood reporter:  "It's every band's right, you shouldn't have to do f***ing 'Glee'. And then the guy who created 'Glee' is so offended that we're not, like, begging to be on his f***ing show . f**k that guy for thinking anybody and everybody should want to do 'Glee'.'What a f***ing jerk (Murphy). Slash was the first one. He wanted to do Guns N' Roses and Slash is like, 'I hate f***ing musicals. It's worse than 'Grease'.Then [Murphy's] like, 'Well, of course he'd say that, he's a washed up old rock star, that's what they f***ing do.' And then Kings of Leon say, 'No, we don't want to be on your show.' And then he's like, 'Snotty little a*sholes...'And it's just like, 'Dude, maybe not everyone loves 'Glee'. Me included."

This didn't really make my day so I'll write about something else now...

Five things I love...and hate!

Things I'm loving:

5. Beth Ditto

Born Mary Beth Patterson she is more famously known as the extraordinary singer Beth Ditto. I didn't know who in the world she was until I went on the Internet and up pops her name on my homepage (a news/entertainment site), interested I asked around on Facebook and my cousin told me the most informative I had gotten.

"She hates Katy." The little Katy Perry fan sniffed."Check out the link to see what she said."

Even more interested I did click it and found that she really did not like miss Perry.

"I hate Katy Perry! She's offensive to gay culture, I'm so offended." She says angrily about Katy and her song 'I kissed a girl'."She's just riding on the backs of our culture, without having to pay any of the dues and not being actually lesbian or anything at all. She's on the cover of a f***ing gay magazine."

Although I like Katy Perry and also know that she made the song because she wanted to kiss Scarlett Johansson before she gets married and was simply writing on what it would feel like that wasn't what made miss Ditto land on the list but that she doesn't really give a damn about what anybody says.

"I was always afraid of losing part of myself, of people trying to control me. That was frightening. But I was never afraid of what people might think. But then, you can't join the punk scene if you're scared of what people think." She tells the press when people start losing interest in her.

Now that is what am talkin' 'bout!

4. Make-up Tutorials

Okay, I'm not a vain person right now or ever and I had nothing to do with my make-up that's until I found Bubs (bubzbeauty) on Youtube. Bubs is a cute asian in japan (please wish the japanese safety) who has the cutest accent. I loved her tutorials so much that I subscribed to her and that's when I also met the channels Pixiwoo, vintageortacky, AprilAthena7 and many more.It's kinda sad actually, come to think of it 'cause they probably don't know me much and will be shocked when I tell them I blogged on them (I hope they don't mind) 'cause I don't post so much on their videos 'cause I don't want to seem annoying...So anyway, not only have I been getting better hair by using yogurt (thanks for the tip, Bubs!) I have entered a contest as mentioned in my earlier posts, I have gotten  many comments for my make-up (thanks, Sam and Nic! congrats on the baby as well, Nic) but now I have an excuse for raiding my make-up kits (which looks absolutely horrible now). :)

Born Alecia Moore she is now my idol (I don't have many...one actually) I got hooked up on her when I listened to her song 'Perfect' on the radio. And she has so many songs I can relate to. I just love her!

My first time on Twitter

Hey optimists!

So as most of you know from my earlier posts I went on Twitter to add up my chances of winning AprilAthena7's contest, and, well it feels like I'm in an alien world (a big surprise since I consider myself an alien) It's full of celebs (I don't know why) and people like AprilAthena7 (cool people) who by the way is itsjudytime on twitter and if you want makeup and fashion advice with a bubbly personality she's your girl.
So I have currently posted 3 'tweets', changed my layout (if that's what it's called) which is similer to mine here, 'followed' one person (itsjudytime),changed my profile picture, and updated my bio. I must admit I kinda prefer Facebook to Twitter but then I've just been on twitter for a day and Facebook for 4 years and I haven't really understood Twitter's structure whilst Facebook....well, you know what I mean.

Good thing is I haven't encountered the 'crackpots' that Dowggie (My dad's nickname) mentioned a while back when I asked him about Twitter. Who knows I might enjoy Twitter...

Showing Doubt

Just a few minutes later. After congratulating myself for the brave attempt. I do the thing I do the best...I doubt my attempt...
It's March 16 the deadline is 24. I have no chance of winning. Other girls might've gotten in. She's probably chosen the winner. And now I am bashing my head on my closet- a difficult thing to do without affecting my laptop. I am the most confusing person I know and I know Old, fat Joe is revving up his truck to squash me again.... well bye! I have to get ready for dinner!

Taking a shot at AprilAthena7's contest

So, I'm a self-proclaimed optimist (although I keep on being my on devil wearing prada) but that doesn't mean I'm a very confident person. Truth is I'm a coward and I don't know why I'm entering this contest but I am and none of you can do anything about it...okay...yeah you can...but you need to chase me first (not a very difficult thing to do). I know I have absolutely NO chance of winning (how optimistic...) I actually am going to try it. I never entered a contest for a talent's school since I was 10 when I was crushed by a big red truck carrying a fat guy named Joe when I did not get through and my only friend (then) got through. Not only did I start thinking I wasn't good in acting I started feeling envious of my friend who was day to day getting praises for, you got it, acting. And when I start thinking life is unfair she starts spending more time with Erica her old friend. Although lonely I didn't find it suspicious so I was caught off gaurd when she came up to me in the hall, gave me the same look she gives her cat before she pushes him off her lap, and told me she couldn't handle being friends with a "Burned Actress".

Flash forward a few years, artist, fashion designer and what I think is a better actress that my ex-friend will ever be I Ava Amica P. Yuson an ordinary Fillipina who doesn't feel she belongs here in the Philippines but somewhere over there will take on AprilAthena7's contest bravely! Wether I win this thing or not It'll make me enlightened to know I plucked up the courage to try!  Sounds dramatic isn't it? Well that's my life!
